The Role
• Oversee global marketing planning for Global Affinity
• Provide informed advice and guidance to key stakeholders on the most appropriate marketing programmes. In addition on broader areas like digital marketing, event marketing, thought-leadership and investment in 3rd party initiatives
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities by analyzing the outcomes using relevant marketing data and analytics; make recommendations
• Awareness of the competitive environment of the affinity insurance industry and an understanding of how marketing strategy and plans are positioned within this to help differentiate our product and service offerings.
• Develop good working relationships and foster collaboration with colleagues from across the marketing and communications function, including CoE’s (Communications, PR, Digital, Events and Research/Analytics) to coordinate effectively and support the delivery of marketing programmes and activities.
• Effective management of direct reports, ensure high performance of team, develop skills
• Effective management of vendors, suppliers and other external parties
• Standing in for the HoM when needed
• Strategic marketing development
• Hands-on approach
• Lead and project manage campaigns end-to-end
• Implementing strategies set by key stakeholders
• Asset creation that’s informed and on topic
• Internal presentations (creating and implementing notes from key stakeholders implementing best practices)
• Attention to detail (content and formatting)
• Deadline management
The Requirements
• 6+ years of strong marketing experience within insurance / professional services
• Proven experience in digital marketing and marketing communications across a broad spectrum of offline and online media
• Experience working across multiple lines of business, geographies and/or globally
• Ability to forge good working relationships and credibility with senior business leaders
• Self-motivated and organised with ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
• Good project management, organisational and communication skills (verbal and written)
• A completer-finisher mind-set. The ability to drive and deliver projects in a timely manner regardless of any obstacles or challenges
• An ability to be flexible and adaptable across a range of tasks
• A good eye for detail and ability to think logically through projects as well as issues that present themselves.
• Ability to engage, communicate and lead calls/meetings effectively with senior business leaders
• Change and adaptability and an ability to work through ambiguity
