Title : Learning and Development Professional (Early Careers Focus)
Overview:
To work within the Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) GB Learning & Development (L&D) team to enable colleagues to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to reach their potential, deliver the organisational mission and retain talent.
Key Responsibilities:
• In line with the L&D early careers strategy, undertake learning needs analysis to identify skills gaps.
• Stemming from needs analysis, design learning and development interventions for all early career
colleagues & managers whilst utilising knowledge of the current market and internal skills gap.
• Implement learning interventions from a blended learning approach and consider the use of digital
learning to support/enhance deliverables.
• Facilitate learning and development sessions to all early career colleagues & their managers to enable
them to be equipped and knowledgeable in their roles.
• Utilising proven models of evaluation, evaluate at all levels the learning interventions with a view to
implementing continuous improvement and demonstrating return on investment.
• Track, monitor and report on progress for all early career colleagues who are undertaking a
qualification/apprenticeship. Understand themes emerging internally and externally to navigate and
suggest recommendations.
• Consult with relevant stakeholders (including early career colleagues and managers) to collate
information and feedback with a view to making continuous improvements and identifying development
opportunities.
• Support wider learning & development initiatives including facilitating effective and meaningful learning
for colleagues at all levels using a variety of mediums – remote and in-person (usually in the London and
Ipswich offices).
• From a business perspective, and in partnership with the central early careers recruitment team, lead
pre-boarding, keep warm and on-boarding activities for all CRB GB early career colleagues on
programme.
Role Split: Approximately 80% early careers, 20% wider L&D team activities.
Role Requirements:
Essential
• Recognised qualification in Learning & Development to a Level 5 standard.
• Demonstrated experience in designing learning interventions for early career colleagues in both remote
and in-person sessions.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating group and individual sessions for early career colleagues and
their manager populations.
• Experience in managing government led apprenticeships.
• Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (at all levels) including written/spoken.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Desired
• Experience of insurance broking and the wider broking ecosystem, including the regulatory environment.
